The easiest side hustles from home
The easiest side hustles from home are internet based. Online businesses like blogging, social media management, selling products, and consulting are highly profitable. Internet based businesses require little investment, but have high profit potential.Click to Tweet! Please Share!Click To Tweet
Blogging is one of my favorite side hustles for making cash from a computer. Making money through blogging is slow to start, but picks up speed as you produce content. With blogging, articles you wrote years ago continue to make money.
Blogging is all about compounding efforts. You might write a blog post which gets 1,000 pageviews per month. At a $15 RPM, your display ads would earn $15 per month from that one article.
Blogging allows you to create an army of articles. Each article earns you some money, but together, adds up to a nice income.
Generally, you can earn around $1,000 for every 30,000 pageviews. Some blogs earn more and some earn less, but $1k for 30k pageviews is typical.
Selling on Amazon has made thousands of individuals very wealthy. Fulfillment by Amazon allows you to send products into the Amazon Warehouse, where it’s stored and then shipped upon sale. Therefore, all you need to do is focus on finding products to sell.
You can find products to sell in a variety of ways. Most commonly, people find products in one store and sell it for higher on Amazon. Alternatively, you can apply for a reseller permit and find wholesalers to supply products.
Other people like to dropship products. Dropshipping is where you list a product for sale on Amazon that you don’t actually own. However, you can buy the product cheaper at a different store. Once the product sells on Amazon, you buy the product to ship directly to the customer.
Twitter marketing business
People are using Twitter every day to make money online. You don’t need 100,000 followers either. I’ve seen people make $1,000 per week with a small following.
You’ll first need to pick a niche, or a topic of interest to tweet about. Examples of niches are weight loss, index fund investing, and paper crafts.
Do your best to tweet motivational and inspiring tweets around your niche. People who love your tweets will follow you. The more you’re tweeting, the larger your list of followers grows.
Obviously, having a large following isn’t enough to make money on it’s own. You’re going to need to have a product or informational product to sell. Every now and then, mention your product to your list or in the comments of your tweets.
You’ll be more successful if your product is relevant to your audience. You can sell someone else’s product (affiliate marketing) or sell your own product. Either way, Twitter is a gold mine if you know how to sell products.
Twitter is one of the fastest ways to make money too. With the right content and consistency, you could have a $1,000 per month business in well under a year.
Create and Sell digital courses
Creating and selling your own digital courses has a huge profit potential if you nail the marketing. You can market the courses yourself or get an army of affiliate marketers to sell it for you. Either way, selling courses is one of the fastest ways to make $1,000 per month from home.
When you create a digital course, you own 100% of the profits. You have control over the product and your earnings, unlike selling someone else’s product.
Again, you’ll want to pick a niche to build your information product around. Maybe it’s personal finance or fitness, but you should have experience in the topic. You need to help solve a common problem by making the best resource available.
You could sell the course yourself, but you’ll need to figure out your marketing plan. Some people sell their product by building a blog, YouTube Channel, or Facebook advertising.
Alternatively, you can find people who already have blogs and YouTube channels. Contact them and see if they are interested in selling your product for a commission. They sell your product and earn a commission, usually 20-75%.
The benefit to having people sell your product is the massive reach multiple affiliate marketers have. You might find one marketer who sells your product 100 times per month. Assuming your product puts $25 in your pocket, that one marketer makes you $2,500 per month!
Affiliate marketing can be really profitable if you have a sizable audience online. The more people you can reach, the larger your earning potential. Affiliate marketing can be a passive income source, if you take the time to build up a system.
Just like selling your own courses, there are many ways to market someone else’s product. YouTube and email marketing do really well for selling products.
YouTube is your best free option for selling products. Build up an audience by creating amazing content around a niche. Link to the products you’re selling in the description.
Email marketing can be very profitable when combined with paid advertising. You can set up a free email course which helps a user with a problem. At the end of your free and helpful course, you send a pitch email which presents your product as a solution.
The goal with email marketing is to pay for advertising to get someone to sign up for your free course. When done right, you’re making more money in product sales than your paying in ad spend.
If some people on your email list don’t buy the product, that’s ok! You still have their email, so you can send them another product offer later. Remember, the more relevant your product is to the free course, the easier it is to make sales.
Consulting can be a profitable side hustle, but it is far from passive income. With consulting, you are helping people lose weight, make more money, or provide other value. To make money, you really need to be an expert in your field.
Look at it this way, you may know how to help people lose weight. With a few Facebook ads, you could get people to sign up for a one hour consultation over Zoom. The consultations cost $90, so with 30 customers you’re making $2,700 per month.
The problem with online consulting is too many people are pretending to be experts. I’ve seen plenty of people try to be consulting experts who could not produce results. They earn a few bucks in the beginning, but are fired when they can’t produce results.
Main point, you can make a lot of money in consulting, but you need to be good. Always look to provide value for your customers and the money will follow.
If you’re a creative soul and can crank out a blog article, you can make a lot of money freelance writing. If you know Search Engine Optimization, you can make a ton of money!
Bloggers need content for their websites. A beginner should be able to win work charging anywhere between $0.05 to $0.10 per word. Therefore, a 2,000 word article would make you between $100 and $200!
Bloggers who are already making good money will pay well for a good freelancer. SEO skills are highly sought after, so you should be able to charge more. What happens if you’re able to land a job which pays $0.30 per word?
At $0.30 per word, your 2,000 word article now makes you $600! So to make $10,000 per month, you would have to write about 17 articles.
Obviously, it’s going to take time to build up to a rate of $0.30 per word. However, freelance writing is a service which is in demand and has profit potential.
YouTube is the best way to sell online products for free. Your audience builds a large amount of trust in you when you produce awesome content. Your trust can convert into product sales when you’ve got a good product and a following.
Most marketers shy away from YouTube because they don’t want to show their face. Therefore, you have less competition and more potential for profit.
Not only can you sell products, but you can earn ad revenue as well. The more views your videos get, the higher your earnings.
Virtual assistants are growing in demand. You can specialize in social media like Pinterest or do general assistant work like emails. Typically, Virtual assistants are paid on a per hour basis.
According to Zip Recruiter, the national average salary for a virtual assistant is $67,000. Not too bad for work you can do from a laptop!
The biggest perk to being a VA is the location independence. A lot of VA’s like to travel. You can do your virtual assisting during the day and explore different cities or countries at night.Click to Tweet! Please Share!Click To Tweet
