What is Carvertise?

Carvertise is a car wrap agency which matches drivers with advertisers. As an agency, they find advertisers, manage contracts, receive payment and pay drivers. As a driver, Carvertise will review your application, schedule car wraps, and pay for your campaigns.

See it on YouTube.

Basically, you’re getting paid to wrap your car in an advertisement. Making money with Carvertise can be a good way to offset gas, car maintenance expenses, or supplement your income.

For example, I travel 70 miles per day for my job. Driving so much can be taxing on any vehicle or budget. Therefore, I could sign up to get my car wrapped in an advertisement for some extra cash.

Your car is wrapped as either a partial or full wrap. A full wrap covers the entirety of your car and usually pays more than a partial wrap.

Carvertise would contact me when there’s an advertising opportunity in my area. I could review the advertisement prior to accepting the job. You wouldn’t want to be driving with an ad contrary to your morals/style preference, so Carvertise lets you approve the ad.

Once the ad has been accepted, you are scheduled with an appointment to a car wrap vendor. A car wrap vendor is the business who actually puts the wrap on your car. Typically, this is some third party that Carvertise hires to do the wrap.

Now you’re free to drive around until Carvertise is ready for you to take the wrap off!

Is Carvertise real or a scam?

Carvertise is a legitimate car wrap company which scores an A- on the Better Business Bureau. Carvertise first joined the BBB in 2014 and received accreditation in 2017. As of writing this, all complaints filed against Carvertise with the BBB have been resolved.

Carvertise isn’t trying to hide it’s business information. You can find a phone number directly on the BBB’s website or even contact them by email. Carvertise’s phone number is listed as (302) 273-1890.

However, there have been scammers pretending to be Carvertise. Therefore, it’s important to know how to spot a car wrap scam.

How to avoid a car wrap scam

Most car wrap scams send you a check to pay a car wrap vendor. You would be asked to deposit the check or wire money, which legitimate companies wouldn’t do. A legitimate car wrap company will pay the car wrap vendor directly, so you only receive money for your services.

You may also receive a check which pays more than what you’re owed. A scammer would ask you to deposit the check and then wire the difference. However, by the time you’ve attempted to deposit the check, send the scammers money, your bank finds out weeks or months later. Now you’ve lost money to fraud.

Additionally, you should find a customer service email or phone number. Scammers try and hide contact information.

Here’s a video by Power Surge Money which shows his experience with Carvertise. He also shows you an example of a scam which tried to send him a $3,600 check! The email instructed him to keep $500, but take $3,100 to the wrap vendor.

How much money can you make with Carvertise?

Carvertise generally pays anywhere between $100-$200 per month, depending on the campaign. Therefore, a campaign lasting 6 months could make you between $600-$1,200. Pay depends on the advertising rate and the wrap style of your car, partial or full wrap.

How long is a Carvertise campaign?

Most Carvertise campaigns last between 2 and 6 months. However, each advertising campaign is dependent on the advertiser. Some advertisers may want to extend their ad campaigns while others keep short campaigns.

The car wrap process can be as quick as 20 minutes, but could be around an hour. Usually, the time to wrap a car depends on the car wrap vendor.

However, taking an hour to wrap a car isn’t bad once you consider your potential earnings. What if you got a campaign that lasted 11 months and paid $100 per month? You’d be earning $1,100 and the only work you had to do was spend an hour getting your car wrapped.

What are the requirements to join Carvertise?

Carvertise requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Driving 30 miles per day
  • A clean driving record
  • Owning a 2008 model car or newer
  • Factory finish paint job

Obviously, you’re going to need a driver’s license and be insured. You’ll also need to be willing to install the Carvertise App on your phone.

The Carvertise App runs in the background while you’re driving and reports your driving back to Carvertise. Your driving data can be used to verify you’re meeting the mileage requirements and reported back to advertisers. An advertiser would want this information to verify people are actually seeing the ad.

How do you sign up for Carvertise?
