How to make money with a Facebook page

The key to making money with the Facebook page is to have a large following. The larger you’re following on Facebook, the more money you can make through ads, product sales, sponsorships, and more. You can monetize your website’s content by driving traffic from Facebook or monetize your page through Facebook services.

Facebook pages are about growing your list size. Your Facebook page allows you to communicate with thousands of people at the push of a button. The more people you can reach, the more money you can make.

Therefore, you should always be focused on providing good quality content that keeps your audience engaged. You want to keep your Facebook audience happy and provide content that is easily shared and attracts new followers.

Let’s take a look at some of the many ways you can monetize your Facebook page.

Promote your content

Website owners can use a Facebook page to drive traffic to their website. The more website traffic you have, the more money you can make in display ads or product sales. Bloggers are the perfect example of how Facebook pages can benefit your income.

On average, a blogger can earn $15 for every thousand page views (RPM). All you have to do is write awesome content and share it with your Facebook page to drive more traffic to your website.

Let’s assume, every time you publish an article and share it to Facebook it brings in 3,000 extra page views. If you wrote 10 articles per month, then Facebook could bring you 30,000 page views per month. At $15 RPM, you’re making $450 per month in ad revenue for sharing your articles to Facebook.

You can also sell your products or other people’s products on your website. Doing so could lead to additional income.

Sell products

Having a large Facebook page is the perfect opportunity to sell relevant products. Your audience may be interested in products that could benefit their life.

For example, let’s assume you have a Facebook page dedicated to cooking, recipes, and kitchen appliances. You can find an affiliate product that pays a commission for every sale you make.

Browsing through an affiliate marketplace like ShareASale, you find a kitchen and homegoods store. This particular store might offer a 10% Commission for every sale you refer.

You find a KitchenAid mixer that you think your audience would love. You can then post the KitchenAid mixer deal to your Facebook page and earn for every sale.

KitchenAid mixer’s sell for around $300, which means each sale earns you $30. Assuming you have a large and engaged audience, you might make 100 sales. Your total profit for one post is $3,000!

Get paid for referral

You can also get paid for simply referring potential customers to businesses. Some affiliate programs offer a pay per lead commission structure. Therefore, all you have to do is generate interest in a particular business.

For example, a major cooking business might be offering digital cooking classes. All they’re asking you to do is get people to sign up with their email address. Therefore, all you have to do is share the opportunity with your Facebook page.

You get paid when your Facebook audience members sign up.

Most pay per lead commissions are under $2 per lead. Assuming you’re able to get 100 sign ups, you might earn anywhere from $100 to $200.

In-stream video ads

Facebook also offers the ability to add advertisements into your videos. All you have to do is upload your videos to your Facebook page and Facebook takes care of the rest. Facebook will automatically identify the best places in your video to show an ad.

The process is very similar to monetizing your videos on YouTube. As a matter of fact, In-stream video ads are one of the best ways to monetize if you already have a YouTube channel.

You can upload your videos to YouTube and then upload them to Facebook. You’ve done the work once, but are able to utilize both platforms for making money.

Personally, I am a big fan of in-stream video ads. Video ads are one of the most passive forms of earning money online. They require little work and allow you to focus on creating the best content.

Additionally, ads are just something people expect. You are paid regardless and don’t have to focus on selling anything.

Fan Subscriptions

Fan subscriptions allow you to monetize your audience through donations or paying a recurring fee. The fan subscriptions are very similar to what you would see on Twitch.

Recurring income is nice but it’s going to require you to produce exclusive content. Therefore, you need to consider if you have the availability to continue to produce awesome content. Not only do you have to produce content for your free fans, but even better content for your subscribers.

Fan subscriptions will work best for large audiences. You want to make sure you have a sizable audience before you even consider starting your subscription service.

Sponsored and Branded Content

Sponsored and branded content is another one of my favorite ways to monetize. You are partnering with real companies with large advertising budgets. Facebook allows you to connect with brands and find partnerships with these brands.

For example, you might have a Facebook page dedicated to women’s fashion. The Facebook ‘Brands Collabs Manager’ allows you to find brands with women’s apparel who want to advertise on your page.

Your responsibilities will include posting relevant Facebook posts about the brand. You might post topics like how you love the boots on the Brand’s website.

Facebook Stars

Facebook Stars give the opportunity for your audience to support you by purchasing Stars on your video content. Stars are one of the best ways to monetize if you are a small publisher and regularly produce video content.

As you can imagine, Facebook stars are another way to earn money from your YouTube content. Remember, you can upload videos to YouTube and then Facebook and earn on both platforms.

Video content also includes live streams. Therefore, you can always do Q&A’s or meet and greets with your audience to monetize with Facebook Stars.

Paid online events

You can also monetize your Facebook page through paid online events. as you can imagine, you earn money by charging a fee so people can attend a digital event.

For example, you can have a yoga Facebook page and offer yoga classes via Facebook. You might charge $20 per attendee and you instruct yoga from the comfort of your own home. All of your attendees are doing yoga from their home as well.

Paid online events are a great way to scale any business. Your yoga business can instruct one person or twenty thousand people.
